Choosing A TV Wall Mounting Bracket
You've arrived home with your new LCD or Plasma TV and can't wait to put it up on the wall, can't be difficult, can it?
The key is to make sure you buy the correct TV wall bracket for the job, below is some useful information on doing just that!
You should consider the following points before purchasing your TV wall bracket:
What do you want the bracket to do?. sit flat, tilt, rotate, pull out from the wall etc,
We have put all of our brackets into sections to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for once you have deiced how to mount your TV.
* Flat will give you that "picture frame look" and is the cheapest option. Most flat brackets will mount your TV around 2 inches from the wall.
* Tilt is ideal if the TV is going to be positioned above eye level (above a fireplace for example) . The tilt brackets are slighlty more expensive and will always mount your TV further away from the wall to allow for the tilt. Most tilt brackets have the ability to tilt up to 15 degrees which is ample.
* Arm allows you to bring the TV away from the wall on an extendable arm and angle it up, down left or right. This bracket is ideal when the TV needs to be in a corner or may need to be angled in a different direction for viewing from different seeting in the room. This is the most versatile bracket available. All Arm brackets will fold back against the wall when not in use. When folded back the TV will usually be between 4" and 6" away from the wall, check the "Depth When Flat" measurement shown by each product in the "Bracket Dimesnions" box.
What is the maximum weight the bracket will take? All of our brackets will tell you the maximum weight they have been tested to.
What are the distances between the mounting holes on the back of your screen and will the bracket fit? See our VESA section
Does the wall bracket come with a warranty? All of our brackets come with a 10 year guarantee
Are you able to return the bracket if it does not fit? All of our brackets come with a 14 day moneyback guarantee
Is the wall bracket suitable to go onto the surface you intend to mount it on? I.E. Brick, Concrete, Plasterboard or Wood etc. All of our brackets will tell you in the description what they can be fitted too.
We hope this has been useful but please remember we are here to help.
